Once upon a time in a jungle. There lived a cruel lion. He used to hunt other animals on daily basis for his satisfy his enjoyment. Every animal of the jungle became very terrified of the lion and decide to have a meeting among them to find an intermediate way so that each of them can also leave peacefully. All the other animals of the jungle gathered around the lion and expressed their fear because of the lion. The lion said
"I cannot live on grass and bushes. I have to kill someone to satisfy my hunger"
Listening to this all the animals murmured and finally concluded. One of them said
"O our mighty lord, king of the jungle, we have decided to send you an animal to you on a daily basis. In this way, you also don't have to indulge in unnecessary hunting and the majority of us will also live peacefully."
The lion agreed on this idea but roared
"If it does not happen and you miss-out any single day then I will kill all of you in a single moment"
The other animals expressed their concern and assured that it will not happen.
From that day all the animals were given a particular date on which they have to go to the den of that lion to satisfy his hunger. In this way days and months passed. One day the turn comes to a little rabbit. He was full of grief and anxiety. He started remembering all the finest events of this life because he knows that it was his last day. He started his journey to the way of the lion's den. On the way, he encountered a well where the rabbit saw his own image onto the water of the well. Then an idea tickled on the mind of the rabbit. Then he reached the lion den. The lion roared in anger and said
"You little rabbit, you are very late and even your tiny flesh is not sufficient to satisfy my hunger"
The rabbit exclaimed
"O my lord I know it very well that I am very small to satisfy your hunger, so we a group of 5 rabbits decided to come to you for your sake but on the way, there was another den, where lived an another lion. We came close to that den then suddenly from that den a big mighty lion came and attacked on us. we told them that we set out to meet our king of the jungle. Listening to this that mighty lion roared in anger and said that he is the only king of this jungle and no other lion has the authority to announce it"
The rabbit further added that
"That lion captured the other 4 rabbits and said that, go and tell your so-called lion king that come and take the other 4 rabbits if he assumes himself as king of the jungle"
This made the lion burst in anger and roared "I will kill the other lion with my mighty paw just show me the place"
The rabbit then takes the lion to the well, which he came across while coming. Then the lion saw his own image on the water of the well and roared with his full power. The roar echoed from the bottom of the well which the lion thinks that it was made by the lion appearing at the bottom of the well. In anger, the lion jumped into the well and got trapped to death inside the well.
This news spread all over the jungle and everyone praised the rabbit for this wise trick which saves all the animals of the jungle. From then each animal of the jungle lives happily.
